Police Check

Hanover Police Services – for anyone under the jurisdiction of the Town of Hanover.  You will need to apply in person at the Hanover Police Station.

Items you will need:

  1. The Vulnerable Sector Check application must be printed from https://hanoverpolice.ca/vulnerable-sector-check_web2020-21/ completed and brought in person.
  2. The applicant must produce two pieces of appropriate identification confirming name, date of birth and address. One piece of identification presented must include a photo. eg. Drivers licence, passport, birth certificate.

3. The signed Police Check Letter from HMC.

4. Let the officer/office personnel know that you are with the Hanover Missionary Church and they will bill the church directly.

5. Police checks must be picked up by the person that applied.


West Grey Police Services – Applicants must reside within the Municipality of West Grey.  

You will need to apply in person at the West Grey Police Station in Durham, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. –11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Closed on holidays.  It is suggested you call ahead to 519-369-3046 before visiting the police station as times can be subject to change. 

Items you will need:

  1. The application must be printed from https://westgreypolice.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Police-Record-Check-Application-Form-June-2019.pdf, completed and brought in person.  Be sure to request the Vulnerable sector check.

2. The applicant must produce two pieces of appropriate identification confirming  name, date of birth and address. One piece of identification presented must include a photo. eg. Drivers licence, passport, birth certificate.

3. The signed Police Check Letter from HMC.

4. $15.00 in cash (in exact change) or debit.  Please submit the receipt to the HMC office for reimbursement.

5. Police checks must be picked up by the person that applied.


Walkerton OPP – applicants must live in an OPP-policed community

  1. You will need to apply online only at https://www.opp.ca/index.php?id=147&lng=en

2. You will need the signed Police Check Letter from HMC office.

3. This is a free service for Volunteers.  Please request a Vulnerable Sector Check when prompted. 

4. Follow the instructions on their website to complete this process.
