Music is a powerful tool for tapping into our emotions, and often, certain songs tug our heartstrings just a little harder because they speak directly to one of our own stories. 

So we asked the question: do you have a song like that? A song that moves or motivates you; that reminds you of a formative experience or speaks to the journey you’re on? 

With your responses we compiled a booklet containing your stories—the piece you offered up as a gift this Christmas. We are honoured to share them and hope they give each of you a deeper understanding of who we are as Hanover Missionary Church.

You will see that we are a people of FAITH, LOVE, and INTEGRITY. We are a people who SHARE with generosity and receive abundant gifts through the working of the Spirit.

In seeing the hand of Jesus through lyrics and story, it is out prayer that we can begin to see one another in a uniting light, drawing us together as a church family and as the body of Christ.

When your world is turned upside down, remember…

1. God provides faith-filled-friends.

2. God plants his word in overlooked people.

3. God promises to lift up the humble and bring down the proud.

Mary’s Song

46 And Mary said:

“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
    of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
    holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
